 A bullhorn lip lift is a subtle yet impactful procedure that shortens the distance between the nose and the upper lip. With age or due to natural facial structure, a long upper lip can make the face appear older and the lips look thinner. This lift gently elevates the upper lip, reveals more pink tissue, and enhances the smile, creating a fresher, more expressive look.

This procedure is recommended for clients who have an elongated upper lip, feel the area, show little or no upper teeth at rest, and find fillers no longer effective. Or for someone who wants more definition and lift in the central face area. 

The incision is discreetly placed under the nose, following a curved shape, hence the name “bullhorn.” A small strip of skin is removed, and the lip is lifted upward. The scar is hidden in the crease beneath the nose and fades over time.

The procedure takes around 30-60 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia or light sedation. Recovery is usually straightforward: mild swelling or tightness may be present for 5-7 days, but most clients return to normal activities quickly. To support healing, it is best to avoid excessive facial movement and makeup during the first week.

Unlike temporary fillers, a lip lift offers a long-lasting result. It can also be combined with other facial procedures such as blepharoplasty, lipofilling, or facelift surgery for a more comprehensive rejuvenation.
