Healing & Recovery
Healing & recovery after your procedure
Recovery after plastic surgery is not only about physical healing — it’s also about comfort, safety, and emotional well-being. With a good care and comfortable environment, your healing journey in Thailand can be smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable.
Right after surgery
Recovery room: right after your surgery, you’ll rest in a quiet, comfortable and safe space with professional nurses by your side;
Compression garments & gentle walks: these things are especially important after liposuction or body lifts; they help reduce swelling and improve blood circulation.
First stage of the recovery (days 1–7)
Stay in a nearby recovery hotel with access to in-room dining and 24/7 support;
Follow your prescribed medication schedule to control pain and prevent infection;
Keep incisions clean and dry — avoid pools, baths, sauna and beaches for the first 2–3 weeks.
Second stage of the recovery (week 1–2)
Gradually increase your activity: short walks and light movements help with blood flow and recovery itself;
In some cases, gentle lymphatic drainage massages may be recommended, especially after liposuction. Don’t forget to discuss it with your doctor.
Third stage of the recovery (2 weeks+)
With your surgeon’s approval, you can enjoy small activities such as strolls in the park, short outings, or a quiet café visit;
Listen to your body — if you feel tired or uncomfortable, give yourself time to rest. After surgery, your body may require more sleep than usual. This is nothing to worry about — it is normal during the recovery period.
Safety and long-term care
Follow-up appointments: stay connected with your surgeon, either in person or online, even after returning home;
Compression garments: use as advised to reduce swelling and support faster healing;
Travel safety: avoid flying too soon after surgery. Most surgeons recommend waiting 10–14 days to lower the risk of blood clots;
Local doctor support: arrange a physician at home who can assist with follow-up care if needed.
Summary:
Start slow: rest first, then gently and slowly increase your activity. Always listen to your body first;
Support your health: maintain hygiene, eat nutritious and varied food, and stay hydrated;
Stay connected: keep in touch with your surgeon, guide, clinic, and loved ones;
Plan responsibly: allow enough time before flying home and ensure proper support afterward.
By following these steps, your recovery in Thailand will be not only safe but also comfortable — a healing journey in a supportive, peaceful environme.
