Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is a plastic surgery that reshapes or resizes the nose to improve facial harmony or restore healthy breathing. People choose rhinoplasty for many reasons - from enhancing appearance and correcting features that have always felt out of place, to reconstructing the nose after injury, birth defects, or breathing problems. In either case, the procedure can significantly boost self-image, comfort, and overall quality of life.

Many clients seek rhinoplasty to address features like a dorsal hump, a drooping or overly defined nasal tip, asymmetry, or a deviated septum. In some cases, rhinoplasty is combined with septoplasty to improve both aesthetics and breathing. In others, the goal is entirely aesthetic - and that is just as valid. There is no one-size-fits-all solution: your surgeon will carefully tailor the plan based on your anatomy, goals, and what will serve you best.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, using either an open or closed technique - your surgeon will recommend the best option for your needs. In open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made at the base of the nose (columella) to allow precise reshaping of cartilage and bone. The septum may also be adjusted if needed. Surgery usually takes two to three hours, depending on the complexity of the case.

Recovery usually takes 10 to 14 days. Swelling and bruising are normal during the first week, and a protective splint is typically worn for about seven days. While early improvements are visible within weeks, the final result will unfold gradually over 6 to 12 months as the nose settles into natural balance with your facial features.

Rhinoplasty is one of the most refined and artistic procedures in plastic surgery. It takes more than surgical skill - it requires an eye for harmony and a deep understanding of what makes your face uniquely yours. At Reviva, we work with surgeons who blend precision with aesthetic intuition to create results that feel natural, balanced, and deeply personal.

We answer popular
questions
What is rhinoplasty and what problems does it solve?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at changing the shape and structure of the nose to improve facial aesthetics and address functional breathing impairments. Problems solved by rhinoplasty include incorrect nasal shape, deviated septum, congenital anomalies, traumas, oversized nostrils, hump, and other deformities.
What methods of conducting rhinoplasty exist?
Two main methods of rhinoplasty exist: closed (without external cuts, all manipulations inside the nose) and open (an external cut allows seeing internal structures). Closed method is less traumatic but limited in terms of modeling complex cases. Open rhinoplasty gives greater possibilities for precise modification of the nose shape but leaves a small scar.
