- What are the risks and contraindications of lipofilling?
- Lipofilling rarely leads to serious complications, but it does carry some risks. These are associated with the migration of grafted fat tissue, asymmetry, certain infections, and the formation of granulomas. Contraindications to lipofilling are standard: severe chronic diseases, acute infections, decompensated diabetes, cancer, thrombosis. The procedure is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is also contraindicated when taking anticoagulants and immunosuppressants.
